ELITE Simulation Solutions is proud to announce the completion of a successful delivery to the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Dionigi Scano. The Flight Training Devices specialist provided the school with a customised version of its S311 Eco-Flyer, which had been specifically adapted to run X-Plane 11 software.
With its roots capable of being traced back to 1826, the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Dionigi Scano is one of Italy’s most respected educational facilities. Having previously worked with a number of higher educational facilities across Italy, ELITE Simulation Solutions was recently engaged by the school to provide one of its industry-leading simulators.
After discussing the needs of the school, the S311 Eco-Flyer was selected as the most suitable Flight Training Device. The single-seat device has a smaller physical footprint, requiring just 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 meters of space, which was an important factor for the school. To provide the most realistic simulator possible, the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Dionigi Scano FTD was equipped with a Garmin G1000 high fidelity replica, Garmin GFC700 autopilot replica, standby instruments and aircraft systems software.
What made the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Dionigi Scano project unique was that it needed to be specially adapted to run X-Plane 11 Professional Visual Engine software, as the university asked for a simulator that could replicate X-Plane variants. To ensure a smooth delivery and installation process, the ELITE team were on-site throughout setup, allowing the school to start benefiting from the advanced simulator straight away.
The project marked the completion of an important month for ELITE, with the Switzerland- based specialist enjoying a record-breaking few weeks that saw it deliver and install 12 simulators to clients.
