Limited Lifetime Warranty
ELITE Simulation Solutions warrants its hardware products to the original owner in the United States, Canada, and all other areas we serve, to be free from manufacturer’s defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the product on certain structural parts and components. All other parts and components are warranted for a period of one year (two years for AATDs), or 1,500 hours of use, whichever comes first. Warranty includes labor for the first ninety days of ownership.
Hardware Parts and Components warranted for the lifetime of the product:
- Internal Castings
- Hobbs Meter
Hardware Parts and Components warranted for a period of one year (or for AATDs, two years) or 1,500 hours:
- Digital Interface
- PC Boards & LEDs
- Switches*, Levers & Knobs
- Finishes & Decals
- Internal Wiring
* Does not cover landing gear switches.
ELITE will repair or replace, at its option, any product manufactured by ELITE which is returned prepaid by the original purchaser when it has been determined by ELITE or an assigned agent that the product has failed due to defective workmanship or materials. ELITE reserves the right to assess analysis fees associated with problem diagnosis. If the returned hardware product is determined to have a warrantable problem, ELITE will affect the repair or replacement and subsequently ship the product back to the original purchaser freight prepaid via a reputable shipping service.
If the product is an Advanced ATD, or an otherwise permanently installed system, all repairs will have to take place at the site. In this event ELITE will assign an independent representative from the local area to make the necessary analysis and repair or will send a company representative to the site. The owner is responsible for all expenses and for labor after the first ninety days of ownership.
The ELITE warranty does not cover the following:
- Product failure due to improper installation, maintenance, misuse, accident, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repair, modification or alteration.
- Removal or replacement costs.
- Costs or loss of revenue incurred due to downtime.
- Damage to related components.
- Normal wear-and-tear.
- Damage incurred during shipping.
- Products manufactured by other companies.
- Projector light bulbs.
To Obtain Warranty Service
All warranty questions or claims must first be directed to the ELITE Technical Support Department. Please be prepared to provide ELITE serial number and/or purchase invoice number for customer verification.
Returning of Merchandise for Replacement, Repair or Credit
Returned merchandise will not be accepted without prior permission from an authorized agent at ELITE. A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must be obtained prior to returning any product item to ELITE. The RMA number must be clearly visible and legible on the outside of the shipping container. Any items returned without a proper RMA number will be refused. Return freight charges must be prepaid and include a copy of the original invoice. A 15% restocking charge is assessed on all returned-for-credit merchandise except warranty returns due to ELITE error.
All returns must be packaged in the original product container and insured against damage. In the event the original product container is not available a suitable alternative may be used. The alternative packaging container must at least meet the same overall specifications as the original.
Returns for inventory exchanges will be made only with approval prior to shipping.
This ELITE hardware product warranty is in lieu of all other warranties and/or representations expressed or implied, including, without limitations, warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose, and all other liabilities, including special or consequential damages, in connection with the sale or use of any ELITE product. Any warranties implied by law are limited in duration to the duration of this warranty, except those states where prohibited by law.
